They also play a vital role in your educational success by helping you choose classes that are on track with your educational and career goals.

Academic advising services include:

Scheduling you for classes (and dropping and adding them)

Performing pre-graduation audits

Helping you select a major and establish a degree plan

Helping you determine the class format (e.g., on-campus, online) that best meets your needs

Evaluating transfer credits to see how they apply to your degree program

Monitoring course waiting lists to let you know if there is an opening in a closed class

Coordinating your orientation

Interpreting your COMPASS test results

Finding an Advisor
Each student is assigned an advisor upon admission to Davenport. Prospective students, as well as previous Davenport students interested in returning, may also meet with an advisor.
